Live The Life You Love

tuneage:

"Spectrum" by Florence and the Machine

This is probably one of my favorite videos of Florence (of course behind "Cosmic Love"), and it’s by far one of her most visually artistic/stunning ones. The bright lights and spectrums (lol) of color sort of mimic the beautiful harp cords and the cadence of her lyrics (it’s hard for me to explain precisely what I mean because I’m visualizing sound and trying to put it into words, but the music kind of…sparkles/twinkles? Whatever. #SynesthesiaProblems).

But the dance sequence perfectly compliments the high energy of this song. If you ever get the chance to see her live, I suggest you go. Her performances are as beautifully explosive and triumphant as her voice.

Working on this project to give to my mother. Doing a collection of dance photos. My mother is a dancer. For her birthday, I wanted to give her something special. She’s been my biggest inspiration as an artist. I’m going to launch it sometime next week. Getting prints made and framed to give to her. This is one of the first finished photos.

…even if you’re among the shrinking number of people who have never attended a same-sex engagement party, wedding, or post-nuptial throwdown, you will immediately recognize in these images the essential elements of the weddings you’ve attended.
